You aren’t lubricating the knots. There is your variance. Try again.

You don't show where the line breaks. To blame the break on the knot the line needs to break at the knot and all other breaks are thrown out as irrelevant line breaks. I just started using palomar knots for braid because it is so easy and fast to tie. I am blind in one eye so obviously tying knots is challenging, especially complicated knots.

Good stuff on the C-Rig. Also to eliminate knot damage from the weight there are Carolina pre-rigs available… just saying…

Caught my 2 biggest bass on poppers, 9-10 and 9-0. Most consistent topwater for nearly 30 years for me.

When I put line on the first thing I do is fill the reel up. Then I tie the line to a swivel and hook it to something. Then I slowly let the line out then reel back to the tree. Then I go back and forth five times. This usually gets any twists out of the line. My dad takes the boat out and let's the line out and drives around for a bit then reels the line back in.. he does this every few times he goes fishing. Neither of us have had any twisting problems doing this.

Been T rigging the sweet beaver this past spring and its caught me more largemouth than the D bomb.

My husband uses a 2020 Daiwa Tatula brand BC reel, I heard the story that the Daiwa Tatula is good and doesn't cause tangles From my own husband

Great video. You really should test mono verse fluro. Fluro is advertised as better than mono but it really isn't. Test it and you will see.

Bait caster are fine . Tighten line speed so the lure drops slow as you push the button . Lure touches the ground without to much spool travel . Then remember feather the spool casting .

I have several baitcasters but tend to use my spinning reels, because I inevitably have a bad bird nests and waste too much time trying to clear it out. I’m no pro, but by now I’d thought i wouldn’t birdnest so much. Of course, sometimes you just have to use the baitcaster.

You really should test mono to fluro. You are wasting a lot of money for no reason.

One mistake is using a baitcaster when casting and retrieving with the SAME hand when left crank casting reels have been readily available for nearly 50 years!🤡 Nothing more than a case of "monkey see, monkey do" in years past!😆

In my river in Ohio a green pumpkin bitsy bug/rage menace trailer rigged like a bluegill imitation has been killer. I also been catching them on rage swimmers on a BPS speed shad head, shakey heads and wacky rigs. Got 11 bass today in a few hours and missed a couple others. I can't wait to get back out there tomorrow!

I typically Texas rig my flukes. Actually caught a 2 pounder on a fluke just recently black with red stripes

Late to this, but just would like to point out that pretty much every fish on the coast is already experiencing this/ has already become endangered.

Only two knots I've used with braid thst never pull out for me are non slip loop knot and improved clinch. Even polamar pulls out

I have had such bad luck with anything other than a wacky senko that I can't even imagine catching a bass on a dropshot or texas rig. Legit never even gotten a bite on either one.

So that’s where the loops come from😂😂 and I’ve definitely been casting them out works like a champ😂

hi Tyler, yep love the gfix80 spybait. Works great on spots. Crazy surprise I got last week…casting into 30’ water for schoolers and got the hardest spybait hit of my life!! Could have sworn it was 5lb Spot but….no. A 7.6lb channel cat. 😂😂. needless to say I had to re-tie as that puppy slimed about a foot of my 6 pound florocarbon.

I have an 88 ranger with a single simple lowrance 9 at the dash. W a deep v haul I doubt I even have it set up correctly. Never get the returns that I see everyone else have. Mainly I use it for the GPS so I don't get lost on the lake, and sure I look at the sonar and stuff but it's Greek. I really enjoy just getting out there looking at an area w my 10 yr old and think, hmm think looks like an ok spot and we just fish

What hook do you use on the Neko rig? That weedless one with the clear weed guards.

Instead of usin the popper when they are hitting at a normal walking bait just down size the walking bait so they take it. They may not even look at the popper but you already know they are after a walking bait lol smh

Caught a 5.2 lb largemouth outta lake mead in Nevada on Friday morning on a popper. Not a giant but that’s a huge bass for that lake. I literally watched him come up and eat it cause the water was crystal clear. Great video as always Tyler those are some great recommendations for the month of July 👍

Started throwing the Choppo 90 this spring and it has caught me more bass than anything else I’ve thrown this year. I’ve mixed in the 105 lately and still catching them. I fish ponds from the bank and almost always start with the bone Choppo. If I start with other baits and I’m getting skunked the Choppo goes on and I rarely get skunked on it. The virtually instant start up is huge. Most of my Choppo fish hit it within 3 feet or so after it hits the water and I start it up. One of my ponds has a lot of floating pine straw. The Choppo usually fouls with straw within 10-15 feet into the retrieve, but I still catch fish because the Choppo gets going and usually gets bit before it fouls if there is a fish there. Just tied on a bone 105 for this evening. 😎👍

I will offer my first hand personal experience as a warning about being sure at putting enough braded line on both your spinning and casting reels Was fishing yesterday using 50lb power pro braid on my Abu García Max Pro4 and 20lb Suffix 832 on my size 4k spinning reel had sustained 10-15mph winds dead at my back while shore fishing Was throwing a weightless weedless 5" fluke on a 7'3" MHFA spinning set up and a 1/2oz frog on a 7' MHFA baitcasting setup and with minimal casting effort was constantly making 50-60 yard casts with my frog and 40-45 yard casts with my weightless fluke I say this because I have seen more than a few actual well known successful professional fisherman recommend using inexpensive mono as a backer then putting only 50-60 yards of expensive braid on the reel. I found out the hard way NO WAY is 50-60 yards of brain enough and I was casting all of the braid off my reels and actuality having the mono backing line out in the water on many casts which for me is a bad thing Most reels will list how much line thay retrieve from a single complete revolution if I own one that doesn't I get a tape measure and figure it out All reels now state how much line they will hold based on pound test I then figure out how much filler I must put on to allow me to put at least a minimum of 100 yards of braid on that reel. I just hooked, landed, measuerd and released a 36" Northern pike that took several best guess 20 yard runs before I could land him and I hooked him with at least 40 yards of line out if I only had 50 yards of braid on my mono to braid knot would have been in play and I tie a basic knot as really good braid to mono knots are to bulky to work well for me So bottom line in MY EXPERIENCE you need to put on a minimum of 100 yards of braid on your reels if long casts and BIG fish are a real possibility

I usually throw mine around cattails, blow downs, or in grass and i lightly twitch it, just enough to disturb the water and they kill it!.

This looks just like the Westin Swim hollowbody, which is my all-time favorite. I can easily walk it from a seated position in my kayak (just by , steady retrieve it like a swim bait, and hop it across pads/mats like any other frog (hooks not pointed out). It absolutely slays; too bad it's been discontinued.
